Strength and Stretch @ Oval Flexible Space
Jan 21 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Stretching helps keep muscles long and supple, while exercise gives them additional strength. This class will teach how stretching properly before and after a workout helps to prevent injury, by making the muscles more pliable. In addition, students will work on improving posture, increasing flexibility  and strengthening the muscles. All abilities welcome, just turn up and bring your ID card!

Couch to 5K @ Meet outside College Lane Campus LRC
Jan 22 @ 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

The sessions will be following the Couch to 5K programme and will be run by a local run leader. Everyone is welcome especially beginners. Over a 6 week period the length of time you will be running will gradually increase. Dust of the trainers and come and join! You can then join in with our Sport Relief 5K Run on the 21st March for your goal to work towards!

Badminton @ Sports Hall 2

Our Badminton sessions are friendly,social, fun and great for your fitness levels. Just turn up and play with friends or meet new people. All equipment is provided but just remember to bring along your student ID card.

Beginner Gymnastics @ Cricket Hall

Come to our fun beginner gymnastics sessions where you will get to use the gymnastics equipment! Gymnastics is a sport  that requires balance, strengthflexibility, agility, coordination, endurance and control.

Beginner Parkour @ Cricket Hall

Come to our exciting beginner Parkour sessions!! You will develop functional strength and fitness, balance, spatial awareness, agility, coordination, precision, control and creative vision.

Thai Boxing @ Oval Flexible Space

Unlike other combat sports Thai boxing uses your entire body to create a fully body session like no other. It is one of the most effective methods of training for weight loss, increasing cardiovascular fitness and endurance, building confidence and most of all you’ll love every minute of it.

Womens Only Tennis @ Oval MUGA

Our female-only tennis sessions are coach-led and will teach you everything you need to know about the traditional game. Each session will include a combination of skills, drills and games suited to individual needs. Whether you’re a dab-hand on the court or have never picked up a tennis racket before, we can guarantee that you will have fun, keep fit and enjoy the game!

Bootcamp @ MUGA

Improve your fitness and strength at our new circuit training session.  This session will allow you to push yourself-perfect if you want to burn off calories! Meet at the MUGA on College Lane, and if it is raining the coach will take you to Hutton Hall!

Yoga @ Oval Flexible Space

Yoga helps to makes the body both strong and flexible.  It also improves the functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal systems. Yoga brings about emotional stability and clarity of mind. No experience is needed, led by a fully-qualified instructor; the session is designed so that you can develop skills and postures while taking it at your own pace.
