Super Sunday Football @ 3G, Oval
Feb 26 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Free football sessions as part of Active Students and are normally 5 or 6 a-side, depending on numbers. Just turn up on your own or with your mates, teams are decided at the session. Sessions take place on the new 3G pitch on College Lane.  There’s no need to preregister a team just turn up and play.

Strength and Stretch @ Oval Flexible Space
Feb 26 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Strength and Stretch is a for class for anyone and everyone, which will strengthen your core, body and mind.

During the class a current soundtrack plays as you work on your strength and stretch through a series of simple Yoga and Pilates moves. You’ll leave the class feeling stronger, centered and happy.

Zumba @ Hutton Hall, College Lane

Zumba is a Latin dance-inspired fitness session designed to provide a dynamic workout which is fun and easy to do!

The routines feature fast and slow rhythms and resistance training combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavours and international zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba.

It’s an effective, aerobic workout and more than that it is FUN and that is why we know you will be back!

Badminton @ Sports Hall 2, Hertfordshire Sports Village
Feb 27 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Badminton is a racquet sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles), who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court divided by a net. Players score points by striking a shuttlecock with their racquet so that it passes over the net and lands in their opponents’ half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. A rally ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor, or if a fault has been called by either the umpire or service judge or, in their absence, the offending player, at any time during the rally.

So come down to our Active Students session and give it a go!

Indoor Bootcamp @ Sports Hall 2, Hertfordshire Sports Village

Improve your cardio-vascular fitness and strength at our new circuit training session which is indoors – away from the elements!  This session will allow you to push yourself. Perfect if you want to burn off calories from the weekend!

Tennis @ MUGA, Oval
Feb 27 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

The tennis sessions are coach-led and will teach you everything you need to know about the traditional game. Each session will include a combination of skills, drills and games suited to individual needs.

Whether you’re a dab-hand on the court or have never picked up a tennis racket before, we can guarantee that you will have fun, keep fit and enjoy the game!

Boxing @ Coach Education Room- above Club De Havilland
Feb 27 @ 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm

These sessions are designed to give you the basics to both boxing fitness and skills.  The sessions will be run by a qualified coach and will be suitable for those that have never picked up a boxing glove as well as those with previous experience.

Boxing is designed for both males and females, as there is no sparing between participants, it is a great way to get fit and pick up some self-defence skills along the way!

All you need to do is bring along your student ID card to the session.

Women’s Only Tennis @ MUGA, Oval

The female-only tennis sessions are coach-led and will teach you everything you need to know about the traditional game. Each session will include a combination of skills, drills and games suited to individual needs.

Basketball @ MUGA, Oval
Feb 27 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Active Students basketball sessions aren’t coached but there are Activators at each session. There’s plenty of opportunity for you to play small-sided games, full games, shooting games and competitions. Come down with friends or by yourself and we’ll get you involved.
